Potato Zrazy Roasted in Oven

Potato zrazy… I enjoy making something special of ordinary and available food, for it to be delicious and fine-featured. Zrazy may be prepared for both everyday and festive table, since guests are sure to like them!

I made zrazy with chicken fillet and added mushrooms to some of them. They may be made with mushrooms and onion only or with adding cheese. The case is, there may be lots of stuffing up to everybody’s taste and likes. We had zrazy with chicken fillet at the first photo. And that is how the zrazy stuffed with checken fillet and mushrooms looked cut.

There are a lot of diverse ways of making zrazy:They may be fried or roasted.I think, that the deep-fried zrazy will be unparalleled :).But I prefer roasting, since it takes the least time and it is healthier way of cooking.I love to bread food due to crisps resulting from such breading.Many people use flour for breading.

Ingredients
1-1.5 kg potatoes
1 egg for spreading
1 egg into the potato dough
3 table spoons flour
salt, pepper
bread crumb

Chicken fillet stuffing

500-600 g chicken fillet
1-2 onions
oil, salt, pepper
other spices as you like
little mushrooms may be added

Preparation

At first, start cooking the potatoes. When they boil, add salt and cook till they are ready. Meanwhile prepare the stuffing.

Cut chicken fillet into pieces and fry in oil.Add chopped onion in the end and fry it as well.You may boil the fillet but I like fried more.
Little mushrooms may be added to the stuffing.If you like, you may supplement it with grated cheese.
Mash or grind the boiled potatoes.When they cool a bit, add an egg, flour, salt and pepper, if needed.Mix.
Make little pie shells (as for buns) from the potato dough, and put the stuffing inside.Make zraz.Some people put potatoes directly on the table scattered with bread crumb, but I prefer to do everything on my hand and then bread zrazy.Water hands for potatoes to stick to the hands less.

Put them into a form with baking paper, spread the top with an egg and roast at 180⁰ till crust browning, for appr. 20 minutes. Serve with sour cream, mushrooms sauce or separately.They taste so well even cold.Bon appetit!
